Run by the RBL Branch Bovington and supported by Cycle Mechanic 2U and Wessex 4x4 Response, the British Army tank training area offers mountain bike sportive riders a multi terrain area of tracks, concrete roadways, sand pits, water features, humps, bumps, mud and tanks in open areas and woodlands. Free from pedestrians and vehicles.

 

The day ride consists of 3 off road circuits and 1 concreted circuit each about 6 miles long open to those over 14 years and offering the off-road environment a mountain bike rider enjoys. A total course of approximately 24 miles.

 

The 1 concreted and 1 off road circuit are also open and suitable for families and young riders.  A total of 2 course of approximately 12 miles total.

 

The night ride is made up of the central off road and family circuit and consists of 2 six-mile routes, 1 off road and 1 wide concreted loop totaling 12 miles of pedestrian and traffic free riding. Both can be ridden as many times as you wish within the event timings.

Entering the event allows you access to the British Army Tank Training landscape and you can ride the whole circuit or one of the four individual circuits as many times as you wish.

Bike mechanic, Recovery facilities, Marshalling, Medical support and Catering will all be available on site.
